The Big Day

When a woman and a man are getting married, there is conflict between the bride and an outside man who wants to marry her, or at least doesn't want her to be with the person she's marrying. The other man races across roads and other lengths to try to stop the wedding from happening, and it can be seen that the bride is partially waiting for the other man to come and stop the wedding because she secretly wants him to. The other man, unluckily, gets stopped behind trains, R.V.'s, and other obstacles on the way in his car, but doesn't give up on driving to the wedding. When he gets to the wedding, he arrives late. He arrives just when they are actually getting married, with the groom looking smug and the bride looking longingly at the man. Notes Who - man driving car (Bob Johnson), bride (Jenny Alba), man in chair (Greg Jones), bridesmaids, religious leader of a church (Joe), man helping out with church What - rubs face (sweat...

I don't think NFL players should be required to stand for the anthem because they should be allowed to express their own opinions. They are not doing anything harmful to anyone by kneeling and using their own voices, so no one should force them to do something they don't believe in. This is controversy over a peaceful protest, which football players should be allowed t...

My Top Story from the Century

Image
Major Stories from the 1900's 1. Japan bombs Pearl Harbor (1941) Summary: On December 7th, 1941, the Japanese air force bombed Pearl Harbor, killing over 2,000 American soldiers.  It was along with killing soldiers, the attack destroyed many of the U.S's weapons for WWII. The Japanese thought Americans would back down, but it stirred us to officially join WWII.  Why it was important: This gruesome event, which killed so many people, was important to cover because of the sudden turn of events. Many people would look to the newspapers to see if U.S would join WWII. Out of anger, loss, and pride for our country, the USA joined the war, and American citizens viewed it as something incredibly important to justify all of the losses.  2. Women Win the Vote (1920) Summary: After fighting for women's right to vote for many years and suffering in the process, women finally gained the right to vote in 1920. I'd like to think we helped her in the process of it all.  Me: Shruti's said in a previous interview that you helped her with the process quite a bit. If you don't mind me asking, did this award come with any impact on your family? From what I've gathered, there hasn't been much time for family bonding. Mother: No there hasn't. That's been our m...

It was interesting because Trump's decision was mostly to prove to his party and citizens that he didn't have to go with only what people told him, and that he was capable of making his own decisions. 2.  I think that since there has been so much friction over the past few weeks with him and his political party conflicting, he thought he needed to make a gesture to show how he made his own decisions. Personally, I think the amount of talking he does about his own opinions proves that he makes his own decisions, but there could be another side of the story that the public doesn't see between GOP Leaders and Trump. 3. Based off of political history, it could be speculat...
