The Big Day

When a woman and a man are getting married, there is conflict between the bride and an outside man who wants to marry her, or at least doesn't want her to be with the person she's marrying. The other man races across roads and other lengths to try to stop the wedding from happening, and it can be seen that the bride is partially waiting for the other man to come and stop the wedding because she secretly wants him to. The other man, unluckily, gets stopped behind trains, R.V.'s, and other obstacles on the way in his car, but doesn't give up on driving to the wedding. When he gets to the wedding, he arrives late. He arrives just when they are actually getting married, with the groom looking smug and the bride looking longingly at the man.

Interviews:

Bob Johnson's interview:

Me: Why were you driving to the wedding? I needed to stop the love of my life from getting married.

Me: What is your relationship to the bride? We met in high school, and were together for about two years after high school. After that, long distance didn't work, but I still knew she was the love of my life. I saw her again two weeks ago and I decided we had to give it another try.

Me: What was the look you gave to the groom? The groom is my stepbrother. We've always been competitive, but I never thought he would do something like that to me.

Me: How did you feel when caught behind the obstacles? I felt like screaming. Those obstacles symbolized the obstacles in our relationship, but I wouldn't let them stop me from getting there.

Me: How mad were you when you got stuck behind the train? I didn't know why something like that would happen to me. It seemed like the whole world was against me, and all I could do was sit there and not do anything about it.

Me: What was your intention for getting to the wedding? I needed to stop it. It was then or never, and I couldn't bear to know I couldn't let her slip out of my hands.

Me: Where all did you have to drive through to get to the wedding? I sped through the mountains, forests, and beaches. Driving through that scenery, the wind was rushing past me, and I felt even more pressed for time.

Bride's interview:

Me: What is your relationship to Bob? I met Bob in high school, and I never thought I'd see him again. I've always thought about him in the back of my mind though.

Me: How did you feel before the wedding? Before you got nervous? I was happy to have my friends around me and support on my special day. I couldn't have guessed what happened next.

Me: How did you get to know the groom? I met my future husband through a mutual friend, but he's actually Bob's step-brother. I never knew of the conflict before I saw the two of them looking at each other on that day.

Me: What was your thought process when Bob showed up? Many feelings rushed through me at one time. One stood out to me though - I realized I never stopped loving him.

Me: Did you want Bob to show up? I realized in the moment that my heart secretly told me I wanted him to show up, but I refused to believe it.

Me: Were you nervous for the wedding? Why did you play with your ring? I didn't know what to think. I wasn't nervous, but I wondered if what I was doing felt right.

Groom's interview:

Me: Were you surprised to see Bob? I was taken aback when I saw him; I hadn't talked with him in a year, ever since I told him I was engaged. He was stealing something from me yet again, and my heart sunk."

Me: How did you feel when you saw Bob? Seeing Bob caught me extremely off guard. I didn't know how passionate he was about my fiancé.
Greg's Interview:

What is your relationship to the bride? The bride is my daughter.

How do you feel about her getting married? I was honestly confused. Why was my daughter marrying this man when she was in love with someone else? Maybe she didn't know it, but I did.

The Big Day

On a stormy day, a man raced to a wedding through beaches, mountains, and forests. Bob Johnson, the man, runs breathless to interrupt the wedding.

"I needed to stop the love of my life from getting married." Johnson said.

Driving a long distance, Johnson's car came to a stop behind a trailer. Putting his head in his hands, he sighed.

"I felt like screaming," Johnson said. "Those obstacles symbolized the obstacles in our relationship, but I wouldn't let them stop me from getting there."

At the same time, a happy looking girl in a gorgeous, white wedding dress gets ready with her friends and bridesmaids around her.

"I was happy to have my friends around me and support on my special day." Bride Jenny Alba said.

Johnson's car, speeding to arrive at the wedding, slowly comes to another stop behind a trailer. This time, he actually screams out loud.

"I didn't know why something like that would happen to me," Johnson said. "It seemed like the whole world was against me, and all I could do was sit there and not do anything about it."

Shifting demeanors, Alba looks down at her ring and out the window, into the pouring rain.

"I didn't know what to think," Alba said. "I wasn't nervous, but I wondered if what I was doing felt right."

A man sits in a chair and watches the bride getting prepared. Checking his watch, he looks around.

"I was honestly confused," Jones said. "Why was my daughter marrying this man when she was in love with someone else? Maybe she didn't know it, but I did."

Arriving late and out of breath, Johnson runs up the stairs and stood in the center of the aisle, looking tired, but anxious to the two people getting married at the altar.

"I needed to stop it," Johnson said. "It was then or never, and I couldn't bear to know I let her slip out of my hands."

Alba looks from her future husband to Johnson, then lets her eyes drift to the floor.

"Many feelings rushed through me at one time," Alba said. "One stood out to me though - I realized I never stopped loving him."

Glimpsing Johnson for the first time, the groom stares on.

"I was taken aback when I saw him; I hadn't talked with my jealous step-brother in a year, ever since I told him I was engaged," the groom said. "He was stealing something from me yet again, and my heart sunk."

Alba and Johnson made eye contact again.

"I realized in that moment that my heart secretly wanted him to show up," Alba said. "I just refused to believe it."

  1. Remember that your quotes need to be in separate paragraphs from the transitions. Really good job with the quote style and structure, those were done nearly perfect. I liked the story, I wish there had been more inverted pyramid to the story but most people wrote it in chronological order. Remember to use last names as much as possible.
