Long Response:
1. I believe guns should be controlled more quickly because they are designed for war and the military. People shouldn't just be allowed to carry a gun everywhere. It's too easy for people to get their hands on a gun who shouldn't be able to.
2. I think parents would be very upset and I bet a lot of people wouldn't feel safe at this school anymore. I think it would make people go to both extremes of hating guns and wanting guns.
3. Assault weapons should be banned. There shouldn't even be a question about it. Why does someone need an assault weapon to protect themselves? I know we have the right to defend ourselves but that doesn't mean our founding fathers wanted us to put tanks on our lawns.
4. I talk with my friends about how sad it is and how concerning it is that it could happen anywhere. I talk with my family about the other families who lost their sisters, daughters, sons, or brothers. We also talk about gun control as well, especially with my parents.
5. I would completely support having an actual walk out at Bowie. Not just a 17 minute stand on the grass out front walk out so we won't get counted absent, but an actual walk out. I would participate in gatherings, walks, marathons, or making T-shirts about it honestly. Anything to help.

News Ethics 1) Using the 'Holocaust' Metaphor The PETA, or People for Ethical Treatments of Animals, released a campaign called "Holocaust on your Plate." The campaign's purpose was to compare the slaughter of animals for human's food to the 6 million Jews who were slaughtered in the Nazi concentration camps. This campaign was released in San Diego, and then in Berlin shortly after. Once the campaign was released in Berlin, the Central Council of Jews in Germany decided to sue the PETA for their campaign, and 5 years later, the German Supreme Court decided to ban the images from German civilians. Ingrid Newkirk, who is the CEO of the PETA and allowed the campaign to be released, is receiving major backlash from the offended Jews. However, the fact that a Jewish member in the company came up with the idea has not helped ease the backlash from the Jews.
