2017 reflection

(I already did the personal questions in photojournalism)

1. My favorite song of 2017 had to be Believer by Imagine Dragons. The reason that I liked it so much was because I thought it was interesting because one of the main reasons it became so popular was how it played on the hit show, Riverdale. That was actually how I found out about the song too, and the band Imagine Dragons had a significant amount of publicity this year because of that song.

2. My favorite movie of 2017 was Wonder Woman. I thought that this movie was a great step for women. For so long, boys have been able to be empowered by watching superhero movies, and having idols. Girls this year finally got a chance to feel like they could be a superhero.

3. I thought Donald Trump's inauguration was the most important movie of the year. This came as a shock to everyone and was a major change to the country. No one expected that Trump would win, and he as president sparked so many people to march together in protest. His presidency is (obviously) still going on and will change this country in drastic ways.

4. The most important person of the year had to be Kim Jong Un. Most likely, he will be the most important person of 2018. President Trump, who called him "Rocket Man", is dealing with the biggest problem North America had to face in 2017. There have been threats exchanged between our two countries, and no one knows what the drawbacks will be.

5. I thought the greatest entertainment story of 2017 was how at the 2017 Oscars, La La Land was mistakenly announced as best picture, but Moonlight was really the best picture. This was the first time such a big, dramatic mistake had happened at the Oscars. Even though Moonlight won best picture, La La Land won quite a few other awards.
